“Happy Little Trees”
Paintbrush in his hand
Afro on his head
“In this world, we don’t make mistakes,
we just have happy accidents.”
Helping squirrels and deer
Painting landscapes like his life depends on it
“We don’t really know where this goes-
and I’m not sure we really care.”
He taught us how to paint
Him, and that awesome intro music
“We want happy paintings. Happy paintings.
If you want sad things, watch the news.”
He believed that anyone can paint
I sure know that I can’t
“In painting you have unlimited power.
You have the ability to move mountains.”
I mean, of course he can
That hair gives you great responsibility
“You can bend rivers, but when I get home,
The only thing I have power over is the garbage.”
Bob Ross, the most relatable man of the century
We love you Bob, and your happy little trees.

“Broken Silver Heart”
I look through my window, I see kids play
While they go out and have have fun, I’m left astray
Just a rusty little robot, A delicate machine,
That is left and stuck inside everyday
I can’t go and swim,
Or I’ll lose my metal limbs
I can’t go and run,
Because my bolts become undone,
And I can’t play chase
Or my wires become out of place
So I know that this forsakenness can’t be erased
While the days go by, feeble and frail
The hole inside my heart is now the size of a whale
While my metal rusts, and my batteries fail
My oil starts to leak, and leaves a huge trail
As I lay down in despair,
And my heart begins to tear
It’s the warm gaze of an infant
That makes me see a little rainbow
That was kept locked inside myself
somewhere…
